We’re looking for a warm, energetic SEN Nanny for a 6-year-old Liam, who loves swimming and building amazing LEGO creations! He’ll need a trusted nanny to accompany him to school, making his mornings smooth and fun. His little sister, Sophie, an adorable and endlessly curious three-year-old, will also need support throughout her day.
Sophie has her own way of communicating and loves exploring textures, sounds, and sensory experiences—she’s a big fan of feeling different materials, listening to all kinds of sounds, and discovering through taste and smell. While she isn't walking on her own yet, she can take a few steps with a little help and has a growing sense of independence.
This role is a fantastic chance to work alongside top professionals in child development. Here’s what you’ll do:
- Care and Safety: Ensure both children feel secure, cared for, and engaged at all times.
- Engaging Activities: Plan fun, age-appropriate activities like play, educational games, and creative projects that help Sophie explore her senses and let Liam express his love of play.
- Therapy Support: For Sophie, assist with ABA therapy sessions and integrate tailored physiotherapy and occupational therapy exercises into her daily routine.
- Daily Routines: Collaborate with other household staff to keep feeding, bathing, and bedtime routines consistent for both children.
- Communication: Share daily updates and coordinate with parents and staff.
Job Requirements:
- Friendly and Fun: Bring joy and creativity to the children’s lives each day.
- Patient and Caring: A warm, understanding approach as Sophie faces her unique challenges and Liam grows.
- Organizational Skills: Help manage therapies, routines, and activities to keep each day balanced and engaging.
- Experience with Disabilities: Prior experience supporting children with physical and learning disabilities is essential, especially if you have knowledge of autism.
