About this client:
Nate, aged 17, is a smart and curious young man preparing for his A levels in Ancient History and Medieval History. He has cerebral palsy and requires support with all aspects of his daily routine and academic progress. Nate is passionate about history — He’s fun, enjoys gaming, travelling and has a great sense of humour. His learning takes place both at school and at home.
Overview of the role:
As Nate’s Learning Support Assistant / Support Worker, you will be responsible for both his education and daily life. You’ll support his academic development and A-level preparation, while also assisting with personal care, physiotherapy program, support in school, transitions between home and school, and encouraging independence and social interaction. The role involves going through the subject content, teaching and adapting it in a way that Nate can learn. Creating revision and re learning lessons on a program call grid.
This is a 2:1 support role, meaning you’ll be working alongside another Support Worker. It's essential that you’re a strong team player—able to communicate and collaborate effectively—while also being confident working independently when needed. Flexibility, mutual respect, and shared responsibility are key to providing the best support for Nate.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with an excellent salary. Full training in all aspects of Nate’s care and learning tools will be provided to ensure you feel confident and supported. You’ll work closely with his family and educational team to create a positive, engaging environment in which he can thrive.
Who this job would suit:
This role would suit a bright, adaptable individual with a passion and knowledge for history and education. Someone who is patient and can help regulate Nate’s emotionally when needed. You should be confident working in a team as well as1:1, able to build rapport quickly, and have the patience and positivity to make learning engaging. If you’re committed to empowering young people with additional needs, we’d love to hear from you.
What’s great about this job:
You’ll play a vital role in Nate’s journey toward independence and academic success. This is a highly rewarding position, offering regular hours, a supportive team, full training, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference each day. Your ideas and creativity will be welcomed as part of a caring, collaborative environment. This is more than just a job — it’s a chance to truly make an impact.
